Maine Celebrates Playoff Clinch

The Maine Pines have officially clinched a spot in the postseason after today's games. The club of course will still be looking to capture the top spot in the National Conference North East Division, but their 90-57 record to this point guarantees a playoff berth.

Tampa Bay Won't Make Playoffs

The Tampa Bay Captains were stuck in the middle this season -- not competitive enough in the playoff chase to be considered relevant, but not far enough behind to be completely written off. Until now, that is -- today, the Captains were mathematically eliminated from playoff contention.
The Captains have missed the playoffs 15 times in their 25 years as a American Baseball Association franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 3rd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2021. In the last 10 seasons, the Captains have made the playoffs 5 times.
