San Diego Beats Halifax in World Series
Monday, October 27th , 2025
With a 8-4 win over the Halifax Heathens at Peter Seidler Memorial Stadium today, the San Diego Fleet wrapped up their 3rd title in team history.

The Fleet left little doubt who was the better team. Celebrating a banner year, "team" was the word of the day in the victorious clubhouse after the game.

"Hitting, pitching, fielding; those are all things you need to win, but most importantly you need a team, a team that works together toward the same collective goal," said San Diego manager Brian Burnett. "Our players felt that way all year, and they played that way. When one guy had an off day, 24 others stepped up their game and filled the void."

A jovial mood filled the air as San Diego celebrated into the night. The city's mayor said parade plans were underway and a "huge celebration" would be in order.

"I hope they have a big celebration," Halifax manager David Morris said. "They deserved to win this series and they deserve to celebrate it."

San Diego Fleet Win Fall Classic and Get Invited to the White House
Monday, October 27th , 2025
Besides winning the big game and all of the accolades that go along with it, the San Diego Fleet also got a phone call from the President of the United States.

The call from the nation's commander-in-chief was part of an annual tradition to invite the winning club to visit the White House. When describing the call he received from POTUS, Fleet manager Brian Burnett seemed a bit flustered.

"He told us that he wants to meet the boys that won the Series and asked if we would come to the White House," Burnett said. "I told him, 'Hell yes...er- yes sir, Mr. President.'"

The date of the visit has not been announced.
