NC Batting Title Goes to Carolina's Green

Reapers left fielder Mike Green hit the cover off the ball all year long and today picked up the National Conference batting crown.
The 25-year-old Green hit .338 with 33 home runs and 116 RBIs. He also delivered 204 hits, including 42 doubles and 4 triples, played in 153 games and scored 81 runs.

Herrera Tops AC with .321 Average

Julio Herrera may not have the years of experience that many American Baseball Association stars have, but he's already got a batting title at age 23.
The Halifax Heathens third baseman captured the American Conference crown this past season with a .321 average.
The star player collected 155 hits, 42 doubles, no triples and 12 home runs for the year. In 132 games Herrera totaled 71 RBIs and scored 66 runs.

Austin's Campos Claims AC Triple Crown

Few men in league history have won the pitching triple crown. Sam Campos of the Austin Desperados joined this elite company today when the season ended, officially making him the league leader in ERA, K's and wins.
Campos put up a 18-4 record, an ERA of 2.25 and 263 strikeouts this season. He started 33 times, walked 75 and held opposing clubs to a .194 average.
Campos is the odds-on favorite to capture the Cy Young Award this year.
