Hendrix Touches All the Bases, Hits for Cycle Sunday, September 10th , 2023 Getting 4 hits is a good day by any measure, but when those include a single, double, triple and a home run -- that's something special. Brian Hendrix's day was a special one. The left fielder hit for the cycle to spark the 7-6 St. Catharines Blue Jays victory over the Newark Flyers at Engineers Ballpark. St. Catharines manager Freddy Coss said he thought the whole lineup looked good in batting practice, but had not been expecting anything extraordinary from Hendrix in particular. "Brian caught me by surprise today," the skipper said. "He looked good before the game, but man, he looked unbelievable during it." For the day, Hendrix finished with 1 run batted in and 2 runs scored to go with his 4 hits. Brian Hendrix hit a solo-shot off Brad Porretta in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, tripled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.
