Star of the Week Selected in S-A

When it came to hitting the baseball, Joe Pettit had few peers in the Southern A this past week.
The talented third baseman for Nashua tagged opposing pitchers for a .522 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 12 hits in 23 at-bats, 3 homers, 5 runs scored and 5 RBIs.
Looking at his present stats, Pettit has compiled a .322 batting average in 112 games with a .369 on-base percentage, while hitting 18 home runs and driving in 84 runs.
