St. Catharines Moves on to World Series

The St. Catharines Blue Jays are one step closer to the World Series.
The club prevailed 4-2 at Engineers Ballpark tonight to eliminate the Santa Rosa Desperados and advance to the World Series.
The Blue Jays won the series by a 4-2 margin, with right fielder and series MVP Ryan Waugh leading the way.
"I'm proud of all the guys," Waugh said. "This was a team effort, not just me."
The St. Catharines Blue Jays will play against the Dollywood Partons in the next round. Dollywood won their series against the Bangor Lumberjacks 4 games to 2. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.

Dollywood Advances to World Series

Jim Henkemeyer sparked his Dollywood Partons past the pesky Bangor Lumberjacks in a closely-contested League Championship Series.
Dollywood topped Bangor 1-0 at Dolly Parton Ballpark to decide the series, 4-2
For his efforts, Henkemeyer was rewarded with the series MVP trophy for his .440 batting average, 8 RBIs and 5 runs scored.
"You never want to leave anything on the field," Henkemeyer said. "You never want to miss a play of defense you could have made, or give up an extra base you could have gotten, because in a series this tight you never know what you'll need to win."
The Dollywood Partons don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Santa Rosa Desperados - St. Catharines Blue Jays series. St. Catharines leads the series 3 games to 2. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
