Benitez Batters Cottage City Big Time Thursday, May 21st , 2026 5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Deltaville's Alex Benitez made it happen against the Cannonballers. Everything came together at the plate for the 23-year-old first baseman as he collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats -- and helped the Deltas triumph, 14-9, at Cannonballers Ballpark. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Benitez said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Alex Benitez flied out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Stewart Elliott in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.
