The Huntsville Rockets trumped the Glace Bay Miners, 8-1, at Miners Memorial Park. Huntsville third baseman Vinny Murillo was terrific. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. With the win, Huntsville has a record of 24-16. Glace Bay falls to 27-13.

With Huntsville leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Murillo came up to bat against Glace Bay pitcher Chris Lowe. Murillo hit a fastball to right for a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season put the Rockets on top, 3-0.

Said losing manager Carlos Acevedo: "Give the Rockets credit. They took advantage of our mistakes."
