Charleston Sends Gutierrez to Daytona Beach Tuesday, May 5th , 2026 BNN is reporting a rumored trade between the Charleston Sea Dogs and Daytona Beach Sea Turtles has been finalized. The deal, which is expected to be announced sometime during the next few hours, will reportedly send 19-year old minor league RF Ruben Gutierrez, a 2nd round draft pick, and a 6th round draft pick to Daytona Beach in return for 27-year old RF Russ Reinertsen. The clubs were noncommittal on the trade, but did not deny it. So far in 2026 Reinertsen is batting .274 with 1 home run, 8 RBIs and 13 runs scored. He has 31 hits in 113 at-bats and a .333 OBP. |
