Sheedy Hits in 20 Consecutive Games Saturday, April 6th , 2024 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. Dustin Sheedy did it again, bashing 2 hits in the contest at Reedy River Stadium. For the last 20 games in a row, the 24-year-old third baseman has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Carolina Reapers beat the Cincinnati Royals, 9-4. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," Sheedy told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Carolina clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Dustin Sheedy singled in the 1st, struck out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, tripled in the 5th and grounded out in the 7th. This year, Sheedy is hitting .412, produced 5 RBIs and 2 home runs, scored 8 times and gotten on base at a .412 rate. |
