Tuesday, April 2nd , 2024
Anyone wearing a glove and sitting in the bleachers for today's Marauders-Gangsters game had a good chance at snagging a home run ball.
Philadelphia center fielder Manuel Rosas thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Philadelphia to a win, 14-5, over Chicago.
"Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Rosas said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run."
Rosas, who is a two-time Most Valuable Player Award winner, was 3-for-4 on the day with 6 runs batted in.
Manuel Rosas hit a two-run home run off Josh Wilkes in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off C.J. Kiefer in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Andy Bennett in the 8th.
So far this season, Rosas has hit .389 with 3 home runs, 8 RBIs and scored 7 times.
