San Diego Advances to World Series
Monday, October 13th , 2025
Many baseball pundits expected a close series in the National Conference Championship Series. It turned out quite a bit different.
The San Diego Fleet swept aside the Cincinnati Royals to advance to the World Series, winning the final game by a 10-6 score at The Castle.
The series MVP was left fielder Dale Day, who hit .375 with a .444 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 7 runs.
"We expected this series to go right down to the wire, so to sweep is a bit of a surprise," he said. "But we'll take it."
The San Diego Fleet don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Philadelphia Marauders - Halifax Heathens series. Philadelphia leads the series 2 games to 1. The World Series schedule will be announced after the Championship Series finishes.
