NC Star of the Week Named Monday, September 9th , 2024 25-year-old Malcolm Babcock sent shock waves through American Baseball Association last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the National Conference Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Babcock made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .462 average, 12 hits in 26 at-bats, 4 home runs and 7 RBI. Where the San Francisco Fire first baseman goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Babcock certainly made his mark last week. This year, Babcock is batting .462 with 4 home runs. |
