Boston's Kirkham Will Miss Season Sunday, September 8th , 2024 Playoff hopes of Whistlers player Willie Kirkham have been dealt a blow today after tests revealed the right fielder suffered a fractured ankle running the bases in today's game against Indianapolis Eagles. Kirkham is expected to miss up to 4-5 months, effectively ruling him out of the playoffs. This year, Kirkham is hitting .319, produced 90 RBIs and 33 home runs, scored 87 times and gotten on base at a .396 rate. |
