San Francisco Loses Tristan Fry for Season Friday, September 6th , 2024 Tristan Fry of the San Francisco Fire was injured in today's game against Detroit and had to be helped off the field by the trainers. The initial diagnosis is a torn rotator cuff, and he is expected to be out for up to 13 months. It happened while Fry was throwing a pitch. "It hurt a lot, to be honest. I just hope it heals soon and I can get back on the field." This season, Fry has a 5-4 mark in 15 starts with a 4.15 ERA. He has given up 81 hits in 84.2 innings, struck out 88 and issued 24 walks.
