Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Ortiz Monday, September 2nd , 2024 Sea Dogs first baseman Juan Ortiz has extended his hitting streak to 20 games. He went 2-for-4 in today's game against the Oakland Invaders. Charleston won the ballgame, 10-4. "Got a hit and a win," he said later. "OK, I'll take it." Juan Ortiz singled in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. So far this season, Ortiz has hit .307 with 16 home runs, 88 RBIs and scored 105 times. |
