Wildcard Game Goes the Distance, Cincinnati Prevails Monday, October 2nd , 2023 The Cincinnati Royals are off to the Divisional Series after an exciting Wildcard Game triumph. Cincinnati downed the Oakland Invaders, but needed the entire series to do so, with a 7-0 win tonight at Howard Terminal wrapping up the series 2-1. "It's every guy in this room that made this happen. Without us all pulling in the same direction, we don't win this series," said Rick Brown, who earned MVP honors for a standout offensive series. Brown put up a .357 with a .357 on-base percentage in the series. He also had 3 home runs, drove in 7 runs and scored 4 runs himself. The Cincinnati Royals will play against the Charleston Shiners in the next round. Charleston had a bye in the Wildcard Game.
