Rookie Wiz Gets September Award in AC Sunday, October 1st , 2023 Youngster Willie Kirkham emerged as the latest American Conference Rookie of the Month today. The young man from Boston deserved the honor, batting .333 with 11 home runs and 26 runs batted in. Is the month of September a harbinger of things to come or just a fluke? We'll find out someday, but for now, we'll just let Kirkham enjoy the limelight. This year, Kirkham is batting .298 with 93 hits, 29 home runs, 66 RBIs, 39 walks, .384 OBP and has scored 57 runs. |
