Phoenix's Victor Gonzalez Suffers Setback Wednesday, September 27th , 2023 Victor Gonzalez is hurting again, just a few days into his treatment for a fractured thumb. Apparently the injury worsened, so the Gladiators sent the 34-year-old right fielder back to the doctors for reexamination. Gonzalez told them that the pain had gotten much worse in recent days. It was confirmed that the injury was indeed much more severe that first thought. He was sent to a specialist, who felt that treatment would be longer than first diagnosed. Gonzalez will now miss a minimum of 8 weeks. Victor Gonzalez is expected to undergo surgery in Phoenix(Arizona) tomorrow. In his season totals, Gonzalez has 34 home runs, .253 BA, .371 OBP, 86 RBIs and 78 runs scored. He has played in 134 games. |
