Hit Parade: Hicks Pops 5 Hits Wednesday, September 20th , 2023 It was a sensational day at the plate for Eric Hicks as he led the charge to a nifty 9-4 win over the Trash Pandas. The Maine third baseman was pure misery for the Toronto pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Hicks put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Walt DeRosier, manager for the Trash Pandas, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Eric Hicks singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Jimmy Grams in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
