Indianapolis Out of Playoff Race Wednesday, September 20th , 2023 It wasn't meant to be for the Indianapolis Eagles this year. Despite a tough battle, they were eliminated from playoff contention today. "It is a bad feeling," said Eagles closer Greg Camarillo. "Once you get into the playoffs, anything can happen. But you've gotta get in there first, and we weren't able to do that." The Eagles have made the playoffs 12 times in their 24 years as a American Baseball Association franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 2nd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2021. In the last 10 seasons, the Eagles have missed the playoffs 4 times. Indianapolis last won the World Series in 2005. |
