Captains Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Friday, September 15th , 2023 Ray Rorie said it's going to be "an awfully long offseason" for the Tampa Bay Captains after they missed the American Baseball Association playoffs. The club came close, but ultimately ran out of games to secure a postseason spot and were eliminated from contention today. The Captains have made the playoffs 10 times in their 24 years as a American Baseball Association franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 2nd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2021. In the last 10 seasons, the Captains have made the playoffs 5 times. |
