Payne Calls it a Day in Philadelphia Friday, September 8th , 2023 Pat Payne said at age 38, it's time to walk away from baseball. At the end of the season, the Philadelphia Marauders starting pitcher has announced he will retire. "It's the right decision for my family and I at this point," he said. So far in Payne's career, the 38-year-old starter has won 146 and lost 115, collecting 1806 strikeouts with a 3.58 ERA. Opponents have hit .255 against him. |
