Toronto's Salas NC Star of the Week Monday, August 28th , 2023 23-year-old Sam Salas sent shock waves through American Baseball Association last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the National Conference Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Salas made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .438 average, 14 hits in 32 at-bats, 6 home runs and 13 RBI. Where the Toronto Trash Pandas left fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Salas certainly made his mark last week. In 34 games this year, Salas has posted a .312 average and put up these numbers: 10 home runs, 34 RBIs and 23 runs scored. |
