Julio Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Syracuse Friday, August 9th , 2024 The Syracuse Scorpions clamped down on Clemente Julio and put a stop to his hit streak. He went without a hit, ending the run at 41 straight games, but it didn't keep the Gladiators from winning. Phoenix downed the Scorpions, 3-1. "It was bound to happen," Julio said with a shrug after the game. Julio is hitting .318 this year with 15 home runs and 77 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .354, 27 walks and scored 60 times. |
