Julio Extends Hit Streak to 41 Games
Wednesday, August 7th , 2024
Clemente Julio continued his streak at Ahoy Park, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Phoenix first baseman was 2-for-4 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 41 games. The Gladiators were not as fortunate, losing, 3-1, to the Tampa Bay Captains.

"Julio was hitting everything we threw at him," said Tampa Bay manager Roberto Quesada. "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame and we came away with a win."
Clemente Julio grounded out in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th and grounded out in the 7th.

At the moment, Julio is hitting .321 with 15 home runs and 77 RBIs. He has played in 116 games and scored 60 times.
