Beeson Blisters Vancouver Saturday, August 3rd , 2024 5 times is the charm -- at least for Jeff Beeson. The Boston Whistlers second baseman tore up the Vancouver Caribou to the tune of 5 hits in 6 at-bats at Mounties Field. The offensive onslaught from Beeson powered the 14-6 Whistlers win. "Beeson was a tough out," Vancouver manager Pete Clark said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Jeff Beeson doubled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Jesse Tuuri in the 9th.
