Froerer Snags AC Top Hurler Trophy Thursday, August 1st , 2024 The American Conference hitters didn't have a chance in July when the Syracuse Scorpions manager wrote "Froerer" on the lineup card. Outing after outing, John Froerer held teams in check and usually got a win. He excelled with a 4-0 mark and 2.23 ERA in 5 starts. The talented Scorpions star pitched 32.1 innings, fanned 47 and held opposing teams to a .118 average. For his superb mound work Froerer was named the AC Pitcher of the Month by the baseball writers. Up to now Froerer has recorded a record of 9-4. In 21 starts he has fanned 207 batters in 139.2 innings with a 3.42 ERA. |
