Julio Extends Hit Streak to 32 Games Sunday, July 28th , 2024 Clemente Julio has been ripping hits every day for a while now, and nobody seems able to stop him. The Phoenix first baseman picked up 1 more today against the Halifax Heathens and now has a 32-game hitting streak. The Gladiators won the game, 6-3. "Definitely somebody's going to stop me at some point," he said later, chuckling. "I'll enjoy it for the time being." Clemente Julio flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. This year, Julio is hitting .308, produced 72 RBIs and 14 home runs, scored 51 times and gotten on base at a .345 rate. |
