Julio Extends Hit Streak to 25 Games Wednesday, July 17th , 2024 Clemente Julio ran his hitting streak to 25 straight games at Gladiators Ballpark, when he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the Phoenix Gladiators dropped the game, 10-5, to the Dallas Dragons. "Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," Julio said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." Clemente Julio hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a two-run triple in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Julio is hitting .310 this season with 13 home runs, 68 RBIs and 46 runs scored. He has 126 hits in 406 at-bats. |
