May's Best Rookie Named by AC Saturday, June 1st , 2024 A newcomer to the league, Brian Kauppinen sewed up the American Conference Rookie of the Month Award today after posting stout numbers last month as a starter for Chicago. In May he had a fine 5-1 mark as he compiled a 0.92 ERA. Kauppinen also tossed 24 strikeouts in 19.2 innings. This season, Kauppinen has been credited with no saves in 25 relief appearances. In 41.1 innings he has a 6-5 won-lost mark, 4.79 ERA and 51 strikeouts |
