Rehab Setback for Jerry Blake Wednesday, May 31st , 2023 Yesterday Cincinnati right fielder Jerry Blake sustained a setback in his recovery from a concussion. The Royals medical staff told him it would be at least 4 weeks before he will be able to return to action. Blake told reporters, "The healing process has gone extremely well. This is just a little hiccup and a little setback." Apparently Blake worked a little too hard in a recent workout and caused more damage. His doctors have advised him to do only light exercise and give the injury time to heal. Looking at his stats this year, Blake has compiled a .303 batting average, while hitting 5 home runs and driving in 25 runs. He has played in 39 games and scored 28 runs. |
