Desperados Chennault Suspended 3 Games Sunday, May 7th , 2023 Joe Chennault of the Desperados has been suspended by the league commissioner's office for 3 games for his animated argument with a home plate umpire in yesterday's contest with the Syracuse Scorpions at Dell Diamond. In the heated confrontation the Austin right fielder pointed to where the ball was and repeatedly pointed his finger in the ump's face and apparently made some contact. That's when he got ejected. Reached for comment on the suspension, Chennault said, "I guess I'll have to learn how to not talk with my hands. They are a dangerous weapon according to the umpires." So far this season, Chennault is hitting .257 with 7 home runs. |
