Fire Earn Win with Late Rally
Fans who congregated at Leatherback Park were treated to extra-inning drama.

The San Francisco Fire did just enough to nip the Daytona Beach Sea Turtles, 3-2, in 13 innings. San Francisco pitcher James Dobyns, in particular, had a standout performance. Bill Flowers, who finished 2nd in the AC in wins with 18 in 2016, was the winner in relief. His record is now 2-2. The losing pitcher was Jon Hoffman.

Noel Cusack had a direct impact on the outcome. Cusack contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the 13th inning to put San Francisco up, 3-2.

"We put together a nice win," Cusack said.

The last-place Sea Turtles now sit at 34-42.
