Whistlers Suffer 5-3 Setback
The Maine Pines picked up a win at Whislters Park, dropping the Boston Whistlers, 5-3. Ryan Flamino, who is tied for 10th in the NC with a 1.08 WHIP, was the difference-maker. Maine reliever Mike Poussard snagged the win, upping his record to 6-3. Jay Helm shouldered the loss. The Pines bumped their record to 50-26 with this win.

Maine took advantage of an error in the top of the eighth inning. The game was tied, 3-3, when Dustin Downing hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put the Pines in front, 5-3.

"No time for flexing," said Downing. "It's always one game at a time."
