The Vancouver Caribou took on the Syracuse Scorpions at Scorpion Stadium.

The Vancouver Caribou got a stellar performance from pitcher Joe Brackett, who handcuffed the Syracuse offense en route to a win, 4-1, at Scorpion Stadium. In 6 innings, Brackett surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. He allowed no runs.

With one out in the top of the sixth, Jim Dauphin barreled up a slider from Ivan Medina. The result was a 2-run home run, putting the Caribou in front, 4-0.

"The bar for us is not a particular opponent, it's ourselves," said Vancouver manager Pete Clark.

With the victory, the Caribou upped their record to 42-31.
