The Cincinnati Royals got a superb performance from second baseman Jaden York, but the Boston Whistlers still won the game, 8-6. York was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Blake Bryant notched his 16th save in 19 chances. With the win, the Whistlers sit at 38-32.
In the top of the second, Boston third baseman Brian Roseman had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Roseman stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 6-0, Boston. For the game, he was 1 for 4 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs.
"I'm proud of the way our guys played today to come out with this win," Roseman told the Boston Gazette.
