It wasn't easy but Dave Harvey made it look that way.
Harvey silenced the Boston Whistlers, 9-0, in a Cincinnati Royals triumph at Whislters Park. Despite the appearance of dominance, Harvey said that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 1 walk and 2 hits.
"It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else."
In 16 starts this season, Harvey has rung up a 8-7 record and a 4.81 ERA.
