The Cincinnati Royals rode a solid performance from 21-year-old starting pitcher Josh Huggins to a win, beating the Toronto Trash Pandas, 5-2, at The Castle. The win gives Cincinnati a season record of 94-67.

The Royals got a big at-bat from designated hitter Rick Brown. For the game, Brown was 1 for 4 with a home run. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 14th home run of the season gave Cincinnati a 3-2 lead.

"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Walt DeRosier.
