Jake Triplett, who is rated as the 16th best prospect by BNN, never let the Fleet get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his changeup, to pitch the Reapers to a win, 4-1. Mike Fisher notched his 5th save in 5 chances. The losing streak for San Diego has now reached 6 games.

In the bottom of the third inning, third baseman Jose Lazaro had a 2-run double for Carolina. It was his 21st double of the season and put the Reapers on top, 2-0.
