Whistlers Win, 6-4, in Extra Frames
|
Brian Roseman led the charge as the Boston Whistlers defeated the Toronto Trash Pandas, 6-4, in 11 innings at Trash Panda Field. Roseman, who is tied for 6th in the AC in RBI with 39, was 1-4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Boston, at 37-30, is 4½ games up in the American Conference Central Division.
Boston needed the clutch hitting of Tim Lotz to seal the deal. The first baseman swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Whistlers on top, 6-4. For the game, Lotz had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Lotz.
