The Detroit Giants picked up a win at Ballpark of Detroit, downing the Halifax Heathens, 4-3. On the mound for Detroit was right-hander Mike Wroten, who played a pivotal role in the win. Devin Wickliffe earned the save, his 12th. The Detroit win streak is now 3 games.

Keith Brosch had a big 2-run double for the Giants in the bottom of the second inning. With Detroit leading 2-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from Jack Ivory, who finished 3rd in the AC in wins with 16 last year, and swatted a double to left. It was his 18th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Giants ahead, 4-0.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Wroten said.
