Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Giants
Detroit starter Efrain Gutierrez pitched well against the New York Nightmare at Ballpark of Detroit. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-3, in 10 innings. The last-place Giants bumped their record to 20-43.

The decisive blow was delivered in the bottom of the tenth when Steve McLaughlin hit a 2-run home run off 32-year old left-handed pitcher Tony Rosario to win the game for Detroit. The home crowd went wild.

"I'm proud to be a part of what we've got going on here," McLaughlin told the Detroit Today. "It's a great group and we're happy with the win."
