Whistlers Get Past Daytona Beach for 4-3 Win
Good production from catcher Mike Fowler helped the Boston Whistlers topple the Daytona Beach Sea Turtles, 4-3. Fowler belted 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Whistlers. The winning pitcher was four-time All-Star Antonio Higuera. He tossed 111 pitches over 9 innings, allowing 3 runs on 9 hits. Today's win puts Boston at 37-22, while Daytona Beach falls to 23-36.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Boston trailing 3-2, Fowler jumped on a fastball from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Josh Gatto and hit a 2-run home run to right-center. With one swing, the Whistlers had a walk-off win.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Fowler said.
