A good performance from shortstop Matt Davis helped the New York Nightmare defeat the Detroit Giants, 6-2. Davis went 3-4 with 2 doubles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Nightmare. Mario Ruiz picked up the win, improving his season record to 5-17. He struck out 6 in 6 innings. Jeremy Gray, who finished 4th in the AC in wins with 17 in 2016, nailed down the save.
