The Halifax Heathens defeated the Dallas Dragons, 5-3, in American Conference action at Estadio Azteca. Halifax pitcher Jonathan Allen had a standout performance. The win went to Edwin Rincones in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Ben O'Halloran took the loss. The Heathens lead the American Conference South Division by 3½ games.

Mike Costello hit a run-scoring double off Nick Kirshner in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Heathens in front, 3-2. In addition to the double, Costello had 2 singles, while going 3 for 4.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Allen told the Halifax Bulletin.
