Nick Douglass pitched a gem to lead Vancouver to victory over the Hollywood Stars, 8-0. The third-place Stars have lost 7 consecutive games.

Brian Massey, who finished 3rd in the NC in hits with 199 last year, took Hollywood hurler Andy Waring deep in the bottom of the first. His 2-run home run put the Mounties on top, 2-0. In all, Massey had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
