Eagles Upend Gangsters, 4-1
|
The Indianapolis Eagles knocked off the Chicago Gangsters, 4-1, in National Conference action at The Hideout. Indianapolis pitcher and Boca Chica, Dominican Republic, native Mike Canales had an outstanding performance. Aaron Daniels, credited with the save, is now 3 for 6 in save opportunities. The win puts Indianapolis at 78-74 this season.
Indianapolis used the hitting of T.J. Walker to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Eagles on top, 4-1. For the game, Walker had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We took home the win," said Canales. "What's not to like?"
