New York Nightmare starter Joe Schroeder turned in an exceptional performance against the Austin Desperados at Dell Diamond, resulting in a New York win, 3-1. Tony Rosario, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 21st save. New York is 75-75 and Austin, with the loss, 71-79.

New York used a timely hit from Nick Seago to get the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Nightmare ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Nightmare manager Joey Bishop, "I like our chances."
