Cesar Ornelas was sizzling at the plate. In a game played at Reedy River Stadium, the Vancouver center fielder blistered the Carolina Reapers for 5 hits in 6 at-bats to pace his club to a good 12-9 victory.

"Ornelas was too tough to get out," Reapers skipper Julio Rodriguez said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too."

Cesar Ornelas doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.

Currently Ornelas is hitting .320 and has collected 9 home runs, 60 RBIs and scored 62 times, while playing in 130 games.
