Nightmare Sunk by Caribou
|
The New York Nightmare were defeated, 3-2, by the Vancouver Caribou at Nightmare Stadium, even though J.R. Mitchell pitched well for New York. The loss makes New York 23-35.
Vancouver used the hitting of Tobias Rivera to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Caribou on top, 3-1. For the game, Rivera had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
New York manager said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
