Roan Helps Pines Beat Heathens, 6-4
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Maine Pines and Halifax Heathens.

The Maine Pines beat the Halifax Heathens, 6-4, at Estadio Azteca. Pete Roan, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2020 draft, starred for Maine. He was 4-4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times. Ryan Flamino, the winning pitcher, improved to 15-5. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 3 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 1. Nick Slover closed the game out for Maine, earning his 21st save.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Tyler Tolbert? The 25-year old right fielder Tolbert stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put Maine up, 6-4. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.

"I felt good up there," said Tolbert. "I saw the ball well."
