Austin Desperados starter Sam Campos turned in an exceptional performance against the Maine Pines at Hannaford Dome, resulting in a Austin win, 2-1. Austin reliever Bob Baucke was the winner. His record is now 4-6. The losing pitcher was Dan Mills. The save went to Chris Oren, number 8 for him.

Austin needed the clutch hitting of Matt Blevins to notch the win. The left fielder hammered a solo home run in the top of the 12th inning to put the Desperados on top, 2-1. For the game, Blevins had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Austin manager Adam Ponder.

Austin is now 84-62.
